Concert Attire

Northern Utah Youth Symphony:

  • Formal:

    • Male: Black tux or equivalent jacket & slacks, white dress  shirt, black bow tie, black socks, and black dress shoes.

    • Female: Black dress, formal trouser suit, or blouse & skirt.  Shirts must cover midriff & shoulders, sleeves to elbows(¾), and conservative neckline. Skirts & dresses at least tea-length, slits no higher than knee, black stockings, black dress shoes, black accessories & trim.

  • Summer Casual:

    • For our outdoor concerts (or those on tour) we choose concert dress according to each situation.

Northern Utah Youth Chamber Orchestra:

  • Formal:

    • Male: Black slacks, black socks and black dress shoes, white button-up long-sleeved dress shirt, and a black long tie.  

    • Female: Black slacks or long black skirt (well-past the  knees), white blouse or dress shirt (must cover midriff and shoulders), black socks/ tights, and black dress shoes.

  • Summer Casual:

    • For our outdoor concerts (or those on tour) we choose concert dress according to each situation.

Northern Utah Youth Wind Ensemble:

  • Formal:

    • Male: Black slacks, black socks and black dress shoes, white button-up long-sleeved dress shirt, and a black long tie. 

    • Female: Black slacks or long black skirt (well-past the  knees), white blouse or dress shirt (must cover midriff and shoulders), black socks/ tights, and black dress shoes

  • Summer Casual:

    • For our outdoor concerts (or those on tour) we choose concert dress according to each situation.

Northern Utah Youth Preparatory Strings:

  • Formal:

    • Male: Black slacks, black socks, black dress shoes, and a bright solid color button-up long-sleeved dress shirt. 

    • Females: Black slacks or long black skirt (well-past the  knees), black socks/tights, black dress shoes, and a bright solid-color long-sleeved blouse that covers the midriff.

  • Summer Casual:

    • For our outdoor concerts (or those on tour) we choose concert dress according to each situation.
